Audition: ‘VRIJE VAL’ & ‘KNOOPPUNT’

DansBlok is looking for freelance dancers for two different existing productions! For each production it is necessary that you are available ALL of the rehearsal and performance dates. You can apply for both or one of the productions. This a payed opportunity.

Friday July 25th in Leiden

A motivation letter is not mandatory, but it is welcome. Please let us know for which production(s) you want to audition.

We welcome all applications independent of nationality, ability, age, ethnic or social background and sexual orientation. Participation in the audition is by invitation only.

1. VRIJE VAL
A playful performance with three dancers for a young audience about exclusion and collaboration. In a minimal decor of three blocks the performers play with taking and sharing space and find each other in fluid partnerwork.

Rehearsals 2025:
1, 2, 3, 5, 26 September 

2. KNOOPPUNT
A performance on how the body and the brain stores memories in comparison to how we rationally remember things. This performance is a co-production with music theatre collective KASSETT. On stage there are two dancers, an actress/singer and a composer of electronic music. The choreography contains highly challenging coordination and working with a large decor consisting of ropes.
